Backup Considerations

Successful Backup process requires careful planning and setup. Without having this knowledge and appropriate steps, you may not have complete backup of your data and you being risk of losing your data.

Backup User​

The Salesforce used that you use to back up data must have appropriate access in the source system.

  • Create a new user for Realsync (for ex., realsync.backupuser@company.com)
    • This user must be API-Only user
    • User strong password of at least 20 chars in length
  • Create a new PermissionSet named RealsyncBackupPermissionSet and assign to that User
  • Assign following permissions to that permissionset
    • View All Data
    • Query All Files
    • Read Access all Objects and Fields (including Standard and Custom)
    • If you want to back up Knowledge Articles, ensure user is A Knowledge User and View Archived Articles & View Draft Articles permissions enabled
