User Group Memberships

Public Groups in Salesforce are a way to group users, roles and other public groups. When a user is assigned to a Public Group and if that Public Group is part of other Public Groups, then essential that User is also part of those parent Public Groups.

Due to the hierarchical nature of Public Groups, it is not easy to visualize all the Public Groups a user is member of.
