Install Desktop App on Windows

The Brobench Windows installer is not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen will show a warning the first time you run the installer. This is expected — follow the steps below to proceed safely.

Step 1: Download the Installer​

Click here to download Brobench-Setup.exe.

Step 2: Run the Installer​

Double-click Brobench-Setup.exe to start the installer.

Step 3: Get Past the SmartScreen Warning​

Because the installer is not yet code-signed, Windows will show a SmartScreen dialog that says "Windows protected your PC".

  1. Click More info (below the warning message).
  2. Click Run anyway.

The installer will proceed normally after this. This prompt only appears the first time you run the installer.

Step 4: Complete the Installation​

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. Brobench will be installed and a shortcut added to your Start Menu and Desktop.

Step 5: Open the App​

Launch Brobench from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut.

Step 6: Set Master Password​

Set a Master Password when prompted. This is a new password you create specifically for Brobench — choose something you can remember but keep it unique to this app.

Step 7: Login / Register for Trial​

Register for a free trial or sign in with an existing Datasert account that has a Brobench license.

Step 8: Add a Connection​

Enter your Salesforce connection details. If you plan to import your Brobench config from a Remote Backup or a local export, click Skip here.

Step 9: Open the Connection​

Click on your connection to open it.
